Louise combines significant senior level and trouble shooting experience in the print industry with 3 years working for BLNW advising in excess of 300 businesses across all sectors and creating in excess of £3m Gross Value Added per year.
Louise Blunt graduated with an honours degree in Management Science in 1985 and immediately joined the world leading Jefferson Smurfit Group as a graduate trainee. Following an extensive general management training period she moved up the management ladder from Commercial Manager for Smurfit Cartons to Divisional Marketing Manager – a trouble shooting role which encompassed over 30 companies in the UK and Ireland.
Louise moved to Leyland Printing Company Ltd in 1995 and as General Manager and a member of the Board of Directors she oversaw the recovery of the company from financial ruin back to profitability.
In 2000 Louise set up LBBS (LB Business Solutions), working for a range of organisations including Lancashire County Council, the Printing and Graphic Communications National Training Organisation and a number of printing and packaging companies.
LBBS specialises in business performance improvement, providing a range of services from simple diagnostics to extensive company reviews, interim management, coaching and mentoring, and a wide range of business improvement services including Lean Management.
Louise has occupied a number of high profile roles, including Director of Vision in Print (the industry best practice body and now specialist Lean consultancy), Chief Executive at Rhodes Printing, Chairman of the British Printing Industries Federation (NW), and Director of Commercial Operations and Customer Services for Apple Web – part of the Guardian Group.
From 2008 to 2011 Louise was employed by the North West Development Agency as a Growth Companies Business advisor working with SME’s across all industry sectors in the North West of England. During the three years she advised over 300 companies, including start-up and established businesses, generating a Gross Value Added improvement of over £3m per annum.
Now resident in Gloucestershire Louise working as an associate to Biz-Smart as well as with the Patient Experience Network, with projects covering small businesses, delivering the Patient Feedback challenge for the NHS Institute and taking the Patient Experience Network to the next level.
